Aims
- To understand the role of a genetic counsellor
- To look at the changes in mainstreaming genomics
- To look at the various educational routes into genetic counselling
Outcomes
After the study day attendees will be able to understand the basics mainstreaming of genomics by looking at current and emerging knowledge and practice; draw a family pedigree; understand their educational options/routes into genetic counselling and to have a clear understanding of the role of a genetic counsellor.
