The e-Learning for Healthcare website has a collection of links to web based educational resources and other e-learning platforms, that you may find useful to support your training. Please bear in mind that this list is not exhaustive and not all of the materials have been created specifically for the healthcare science training programmes.
Clinical Risk Management Training for Health and Social Care
This e-learning course has been developed by the Clinical Safety Team at NHS Digital. It is designed to support health and social care organisations and manufacturers of Health IT products with training in the principles of safety, risk management and risk mitigation, all within the context of Health IT by implementing the safety standards, DCB 0129 and DCB 0160.
This course has been developed by the Department of Health to provide an introduction to health informatics for those moving into the field, although it may also be useful for those already working in health or informatics who wish to expand their knowledge, or for students considering entering a career in health informatics. The course is made up of five modules:
- Introduction to health informatics
- Introduction to health and care
- Improving the quality and safety of care through health informatics
- The management and funding of health and care services
- Primary and secondary uses of data in health and care
