Part of STP trainee induction 2020 – Webinar 1 – Introduction to the STP

How do I complete the programme?

Last Updated: 17th September 2020

Find out the completion requirements for the STP in order to obtain your Certification of Completion for the STP (CCSTP).

To receive your Certificate of Completion for the Scientist Training Programme (CCSTP), you must have met all of the mandatory completion criteria for the programme. This confirms that you are fit to practise and are therefore eligible to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for registration as a Clinical Scientist.

There are 3 key completion requirements for the STP:

  1. Full completion of the workplace-based assessments and competences specified in the curriculum to a satisfactory standard
  2. Successful completion of the final exit assessment, which could continue to be the Objective Structured Final Assessment (OSFA)
  3. Successful completion of the MSc in Clinical Science
