Here in the knowledgebase of the School website we publish a wide range of ‘How-to’ videos covering different tasks and targeted at people in different roles, primarily trainees, Training Officers and assessors. For the majority of the key tasks that you need to perform in OneFile there are short individual ‘How-to’ videos. Watch them a few times before you perform those tasks and you’ll be well on your way.
Downloadable guidance documents
If you prefer to download ‘printed’ guidance we also publish a range of guidance documents that cover the key tasks you need to perform. There are also guidance documents for your assessors. If you are submitting work to an assessor who is an infrequent user of OneFile, it is a smart idea to download and share assessor guidance documents with them when you make your submissions.
Ask more experienced users and find your nearest E-portfolio Champion
There is a vast amount of knowledge and experience of using OneFile right across the STP training community that you can take advantage of. Other trainees further on in the programme within your department or Trust will be a great source of advice. Similarly, trainees in your regional trainee network can be a useful source of advice. Additionally, the NSHCS have recruited and trained a number of trainee E-portfolio Champions to be a source of advice and guidance about OneFile. There may be an E-portfolio Champion in your Trust or trainee network that can support you on your way to becoming a proficient user of the service.
