Approving trainee qualifications

You are also responsible for approving the trainee’s enrolment on the programme based on their existing qualifications and experience. We will not enforce or undertake any independent checks of qualifications, experience or pre-requisites suggested in the ASP programme aim.

You may also wish to have a separate training agreement in place with your trainee.  Speak with your trust or institutions local training and development department to find out about any pre-existing arrangements.

Notify us of possible delays to completion

Please notify us immediately by emailing nshcs@hee.nhs.uk if there may be a delay in the trainee completing the programme. We will need to know what the anticipated period of delay will be and if this will have an impact on the trainee’s final assessment. As the employer you are responsible for the support and management of the trainee throughout this time.

Trainees exceeding the time period determined in the ASP programme specification will be subject to an additional charge for continued access to the programme and e-portfolio of £200 per year.
