Completing the ASP programme

Last Updated: 4th November 2020

Upon completion of all the elements of the ASP programme, trainees will receive a Certificate of Completion.

How do I successfully complete the ASP programme?

In order to receive your certificate of completion from the School and be able to register with the Academy for Healthcare Science you need to complete three things:

  1. Submit all of your work-based evidence, that has been signed off by your assessor, to OneFile.
  2. Complete the academic component of the programme.
  3. Pass the final exit exam.

What to do if there is a delay in completing the programme

If you encounter circumstances which may delay completion of the ASP programme, your Training Officer or Employer Sponsor must contact nshcs.curriculum@hee.nhs.uk in a timely manner. They must provide details of the anticipated period of delay and if this will impact attendance at the final exit exam. Your Employer Sponsor is responsible for your support and management throughout these circumstances.

Your Employer Sponsor must be made aware that trainees exceeding the time period determined in the ASP programme specification, will be subject to an additional charge for continued access to the programme and e-portfolio of £200 per year.
