Delivery of the ASP Professional Discussion assessment

This assessment has been developed to enable you to receive your final assessment, taking into account the public health measures and constraints arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Your final assessment will take the form of a Professional Discussion (PD) with a panel of three specialists assessors.

Technical requirements

The PD will be delivered remotely using the MS Teams digital platform. You will receive separate guidance and support on accessing and navigating the MS Teams platform prior to your interview.

You will need a video and audio enabled laptop or PC and you will need to identify a quiet and private room in which to carry out your assessment.

Technical test

As the assessment is being conducted remotely, there may be unforeseen technical glitches. We therefore recommend that you book a technical test before your assessment to check that your equipment works and to practise using MS Teams. ASP Professional Discussion timetable

Your ASP Professional Discussion is being held on Monday 21st June 2021. You will receive a personal email giving the time of your assessment(s) by 4th June 2021.

You will receive your Candidate Report including the outcome of the ASP Professional Discussion and feedback from the Assessment Panel by email during the week commencing Monday 16th August 2021.

Reasonable adjustments

You may make an application for reasonable adjustments or extenuating circumstances for the Professional Discussion assessment by Friday 11th June 2021. Please email your application to nshcs.assessment@hee.nhs.uk.

Assessment regulations

The ASP Professional Discussion will be conducted under exam regulations which will be explained to you before your assessment and which are summarised below in the ‘starting the assessment’ section.
