The National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) is responsible for overseeing the implementation of education and training programmes for healthcare science.
It is responsible for a wide range of work. It manages the annual national recruitment activities, accredit all universities and workplaces delivering healthcare science programme, develop and review the curricula, carry out the national assessment strategy including delivery of final assessments and the School provides support and assistance to trainees and their training officers throughout their training. None of this would be possible without the healthcare science workforce volunteering to support our activities.
In 2021, to celebrate ten years of the National School of Healthcare Science, we launched our stakeholder recognition scheme in gratitude for the work, support and input individuals from the healthcare science workforce across the four nations have given to help the School to grow and to deliver its remit.
