The open day will take place on the Wednesday 14th January 2026, either online or in-person (spaces limited) at the UHBW Research and Education Centre, Bristol. The day will run from 9am to 4pm with the afternoon being in-person only.
The day will involve talks from current trainees and clinical scientists, including:
- An overview of the STP training scheme and the application process
- Training in Bristol
- Alternative routes into medical physics
- Insights into the work of clinical scientists across medical physics specialisms, including:
- Radiotherapy
- Radiation Safety & Diagnostic Radiology
- Nuclear Medicine
- Imaging with Non-Ionising Radiation
- Clinical Scientific Computing
- Opportunities to ask questions to trainees and scientists
- A tour of the departments for in-person attendees
