Clatterbridge Cancer Centre Medical Physics STP Open Day

Hosted by the Physics department, Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, Liverpool

The open day will be held by trainees and staff in the department and will provide prospective applicants with an insight into the training offered by the centre. Both current trainees and qualified Clinical Scientists will deliver presentations describing the application process, details of the training scheme, and the work of a professional medical physicist. Attendees will also have the opportunity to take part in a Q&A with trainees and ask about their experiences.

11:05am to 11:30am – Intro to STP Training at Clatterbridge

11:30am to 12pm – Applications/Interviews

12pm to 12:30pm – Lunch

12:30pm to 1:05pm – Specialism talk: non-ionising radiation

1:05pm to 1:40pm – Specialism talk: nuclear medicine

10 minute break

1:50pm to 2:25pm – Specialism talk: radiotherapy

2:25pm to 3pm – Specialism talk: diagnostic radiology

3pm to 3:30pm – Q&A with current STP trainees
