As part of our ‘Sharing Good Practice’ series we have talks by trainees / alumni from the Scientist Training Programme (STP). These talks are STP-focused, however anyone with an interest in the topics are welcome to join us. The talks are as follows:
Adapting to life as an STP trainee
Ruhel Uddin has progressed into the second year of the STP in Pharmaceutical Science. Ruhel will share his experience of going from undergraduate to postgraduate (STP) study. He will also discuss how he adapted to his STP training, having moved from London to Leeds.
The STP: A firm foundation for greater impact in healthcare
Emmanuel Oyekunle is an STP graduate in Radiotherapy Physics, having completed the programme in 2024. Emmanuel strongly believes that the relevance of the role of a Clinical Scientist in healthcare cannot be overemphasised. In his talk he will share how the STP has provided him with a firm foundation to develop in him the responsibilities and the related work ethic needed to prepare him for his role as Clinical Scientist in Radiotherapy Physics at a different Trust.
