Aims of the research
- To characterise CD34+ cord blood cell surface expression of several surface markers, including those that differentiate the stages of cell maturation and those involved in immune recognition.
- To understand the response of cord blood progenitor cells towards allogeneic granulocytes.
- To investigate the engraftment of CD8 positive lymphocytes in the first phase following transplantation.
