Sharing Good Practice – Skills and behaviours of a Consultant Clinical Scientist

As part of our ‘Sharing Good Practice’ series we have talks by trainees on the Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) programme. These talks are HSST focused. However, anyone with an interest in the topics is welcome to join us. The details of the talks are as follows:

Beyond the bench

Amy Read is a Consultant Clinical Scientist trainee on the HSST programme. Amy will be sharing her transition from working behind the scenes as a Biomedical Scientist to stepping into a more visible role as a HSST trainee. She will explore the unique challenges and growth that comes with being the first HSST in her department.

Developing leadership skills in the workplace

Shabana Allsopp is a Consultant Clinical Scientist trainee on the HSST programme. Shabana will be sharing her experience of leadership so far as a HSST trainee. She will share useful tips on how to learn and develop leadership skills as well as how to use them during training.
