Sharing Good Practice – Skills and behaviours of a Consultant Clinical Scientist

As part of our ‘Sharing Good Practice’ series we have talks by trainees on the Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) programme. These talks are HSST-focused. However, anyone with an interest in the topics is welcome to join us. The details of the talks are as follows: 

Beyond the bench 

Amy Read is a Consultant Clinical Scientist trainee on the HSST programme. Amy will be sharing her transition from working behind the scenes as a Biomedical Scientist to stepping into a more visible role as a HSST trainee. She will explore the unique challenges and growth that comes with being the first HSST in her department. 

Developing leadership skills in the workplace 

Shabana Allsopp is a Consultant Clinical Scientist trainee on the HSST programme. Shabana will be sharing her experience of leadership so far as a HSST trainee. She will share useful tips on how to learn and develop leadership skills as well as how to use them during training.
