The Big Bang Fair are currently looking for individuals with a STEM background (academic or working) to become Online Judges for The Big Bang Competition!

The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Competition aims to recognise and reward young people’s achievements in all areas of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and provide them with the opportunity to build their skills and confidence in project-based work.

Previous judging experience is not required, however the ability to confidently and accurately assess school projects from agreed criteria is essential (training and guidelines will be provided).

Judges will be given 10-15 online entries to assess within a 3 week period – so you can do it all in your own time!

The timeline will be as follows:

  • 30th October – Deadline for Online Judge applications
  • 25th November – Judges receive school projects to assess
  • 11th December – Deadline for Judges’ school project assessments
