Over the course of the 5 year programme a trainee is expected to produce and collate evidence of their workplace training activity and submit it for assessment in an e-portfolio. All submitted evidence of activity should be mapped against the Higher Specialist Standards of Proficiency. By the time your trainee is ready to exit the programme they should have enough evidence to prove that they have met all the Standards of Proficiency. The Standards of Proficiency are interpreted within the context of the specialty.
We recommend that you and your trainee develop an assessment plan to help you map out which activities will be most relevant to their training.
