Both programmes were developed in response to the Richards’ review (Diagnostics: Recovery and Renewal – Report of the Independent Review of Diagnostic Services for NHS England) and the NHS Long Term plan.
NHS England (NHSE) allocated the funding to support places nationally. Employers who are able to offer access to training covering the entire curriculum, can express an interest for these grants. Successful employers will then be able to nominate a candidate.
This programme offers a shortened timescale for trainees employed within a suitable respiratory service who have a relevant, cognate undergraduate degree.
The postgraduate sleep medicine programme packages advanced integrated sleep training for a wide range of healthcare professionals including healthcare scientists, doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.
