The proposed patient centred project would be to investigate the efficacy of a 360 degree immersive video with information hotspots on the reduction of anxiety in adult patients referred for PET/CT. Incidents reported where a patient has received a radiation dose due to the injection of a radiopharmaceutical but failed to complete their procedure, are low but are regular occurrences. This research project may be expanded so that VR experiences can be tailored to the patient to reduce their anxiety but also anxiety from possible carers. Both themes of distraction and habituation or acclimatisation will be investigated.
