You will be based mainly in Cardiac Investigations at Kettering General Hospital. The town is ideally located with a direct train to London in under an hour.

There may be the option to occasionally work at a diagnostic hub which will be located in Corby. This is about 10 miles away from Kettering General Hospital and is expected to be completed in September 2024.

Cardiac Investigations has recently been fully refurbished to accommodate the increased complexity of the diagnostic tests we offer. We have 3 newly refurbished Cath labs which are all integrated with the newest technologies for PCI, complex PCI and complex pacing. We also run a 24/7 Primary PCI service.

We perform all of the complex tests that a tertiary centre offer; this includes Dobutamine stress Echo, TOE and Paediatric Echo clinics. We are an advocate of physiologist led services such as TILT and Rapid access chest pain clinic. We are also in the process of setting up Physiologist led Valve clinics and Physiologist led DSE clinics.

We offer a fully established complex CRM service, which includes ICD and CRT implants and follow-up on a daily basis. We have a full remote monitoring service so every patient with an implantable device is monitored from implant. We have a full paperless CRM system.

Cardiac Investigations has an excellent training program and invests in all of the students that we have. All of our Physiologists are supported to become highly specialised in their chosen speciality.
