Audiology – Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
At Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust we provide a comprehensive audiology service covering all audiological disciplines. Our adult audiology service includes the fitting of routine and non-routine hearing aids, complex diagnostics, vestibular assessment. hearing therapy and tinnitus management. Our paediatric audiology service includes assessing babies referred from the Newborn Hearing Screening Programme, the behavioural and objective assessment of children of all ages and the habilitation of children with hearing loss. We also have an auditory implant programme where we assess patients’ suitability for Cochlear Implants, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids and Middle Ear Implants, and manage the fitting, programming, maintenance, and evaluation of these devices. You would be joining a large team comprising Clinical Scientists (Audiology), audiologists, assistant audiologists and administrative colleagues. We have significant experience of training including degree apprenticeship and PTP schemes as well as the STP programme, and the department has a designated Audiology Training Lead. The service has undergone significant development over recent years, and we are actively working towards IQIPS accreditation. You will be based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, although occasional travel to clinics across Oxfordshire may be required (e.g. Banbury, Didcot, Wantage). The department offers flexible working arrangements.

Clinical Biochemistry – Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
Applications are invited from talented, enthusiastic individuals to join our busy but friendly team in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH).
The Trust is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. OUH is made up of four hospitals: the John Radcliffe Hospital, the Churchill Hospital and the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, all located in Oxford, and the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, North Oxfordshire. We have three laboratories, two in Oxford and one in Banbury. Your main base will be at the John Radcliffe site in Oxford, although you will have the opportunity to spend time in each of the other labs as required.
The Clinical Biochemistry department provides testing for all clinical areas of the hospital, the GP population of Oxfordshire, as well as specialist services. As such, you will gain experience in a wide range of analytical techniques, relevant to a variety of clinical specialities. The Department also includes the Oxford Screening Laboratory, which provides neonatal and antenatal screening services for a wider geographical area including the South 4 Pathology network. Clinical Bioinformatics Genomics – Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust
Main hospital base will be the Churchill in Oxford, however, some rotational time may be at the John Radcliffe in Oxford.

The final allocation of medical physics specialism is made by the end of the rotational placements and is based on three criteria: trainee choice, training capacity, and workforce requirements. Specialisms offered are Radiotherapy Physics, Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Safety and Diagnostic Radiology.
