You will be primarily based within the respiratory sleep service at Salford Royal which sits within the respiratory nursing team, comprising the Sleep and Non-invasive ventilation service, Home Oxygen Team, Chronic Airways Support Team, Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team, Respiratory Specialist Nurses, Smoking Cessation and Lung Cancer. This will allow for spoke placements to enhance your learning experience. You will also spend time within the cardiorespiratory investigations department where you will gain experience in lung function, exercise testing, PSG set-up and other respiratory investigations, neurophysiology for MSLT and actigraphy as well as opportunity to spend some time with our neurologist/neuropsychiatrists with special interest in sleep. Salford Royal sits within the Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust and there may be opportunity to get some additional experience at the service at Fairfield in Bury.
