Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Services (CWPS) is located across sites at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW), George Eliot in Nuneaton and South Warwick Hospital. The post-holder will have a base site but may be required to rotate to gain exposure to the full specialist services across the network.

CWPS is part of a wider Pathology network, Midlands and East 4 (South Midlands Pathology Network) with Worcestershire Acute NHS Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust. There may be opportunity to visit/rotate across these services also to gain even wider exposure and experience on how different local services operate.

Pharmaceutical Science – University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust

You will be primarily based at University Hospital Coventry. There will be a requirement to travel to Queen’s Hospital Burton, in Burton-On-Trent in order to complete two of your rotations. You will cover Radiopharmacy, QA/QC and aseptics rotations at the base hospital in Coventry. UHCW is a large teaching hospital with trainee clinical scientists working in many different specialities, and peer support is available.

The post is based primarily in radiology physics and is a defined specialism. Opportunities to experience other areas of medical physics are available through rotations in radiotherapy physics, nuclear medicine and imaging with non ionising radiation.
