This post will be predominantly based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, where there is free car parking for staff, a good bus link with the nearest main line train station being Brockenhurst. There are 3 community hospitals within our purview, so some cross site travelling would be involved. Unfortunately there is no shuttle bus or onsite accommodation. There is a Good Library onsite, with study rooms, staff facilities, an excellent subsidised cafe and a friendly working environment.

Trainees will be based primarily in the Respiratory Service located in the Churchill Hospital of Oxford city. During your first year you will work across different sites in the Churchill and John Radcliffe Hospital. These are all within the ring road and can be easily accessed via walking, or a shuttle bus that leaves regularly between the sites.

There is suitable hospital accommodation, called the Chartwell Flats, just across the road from where we are based, this is run by A2Dominion and getting in touch early to obtain a space is recommended.

All training objectives are achievable across both these sites. Occasionally placements outside of OUH can be sought to broaden your experience, these are always fully supported.
