Embryology – Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust
Our Fertility Centre has pioneered exceptional care for couples and individuals experiencing fertility problems since 1980. Since 2009 we have built our service to also be one of the UK’s leading providers of pre-implantation genetic testing.
As the only NHS-based specialist fertility centre in Birmingham and the West Midlands we have the advantage that we can offer trainees exposure and experience of all the allied disciplines to Fertility.
All our patients, NHS or self-funding, have comprehensive integrated treatment including Timelapse and other advanced technologies (see our website). We also work alongside the ChRS University Team and are leading a number of national and International clinical trials.
We provide a full range of services from advanced diagnoses and pre-treatment therapies, we also have our own sperm bank and an egg donation programme. Alongside the Fertility Treatment centre we have a strong Andrology service with STP training and specialist clinics.
We a proud to have a range of disciplines and diverse backgrounds working together as one inclusive, caring team that reflect our Trust values of being Ambitious, Brave and Compassionate. Trainees get to work alongside world-leading medics and clinicians.
