  • North West

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust includes the Countess of Chester Hospital – a 550-bed hospital which provides the full range of acute and specialist services. The Clinical biochemistry department is based at this site and will be the location for training, except when specialised placements are required.

The department is friendly and supportive and will provide an enjoyable and comprehensive training environment for STP trainees. The pathology department is part of the emerging Cheshire and Merseyside pathology network, allowing the STP trainee exposure to a variety of training opportunities.

Chester is a great city to live in with a thriving historical city centre, and is surrounded by the countryside of both cheshire and North Wales. Chester has a simple commute by road or rail to both Manchester and Liverpool.
