The Audiology department at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon prides itself on a rich history of training students and successfully supporting the STP programme for 12 years. We are committed to our students, with a dedicated Training Lead in the department, who has Associate Fellowship status to the HEA (Higher Education Academy) and holds good working relationships with the universities. You will be based at the main hospital site and will attend clinics at four outreach sites in the Swindon area.

Our staff mentor and support students in all areas of clinical practice covering vestibular assessment and rehabilitation, paediatrics, tinnitus and adult rehabilitation all delivered within our trust. Our long-held IQIPS accreditation across all Audiology specialisms show our commitment to high-quality service and teaching delivery. Students will be involved in all aspects of departmental life from roles as deputy Health and Safety coordinator, clinical audit involvement and research activities.
