The trainee will be primarily based within the diagnostic Andrology laboratory at Cambridge IVF, with additional training provided at diagnostic Andrology satellite clinics.

The service supports both diagnostic and clinical Andrology pathways, including routine semen analysis and post-vasectomy testing, sperm preparation, semen cryopreservation and specialist male fertility investigations.

The trainee may be required to rotate between the main site in Cambridge and satellite sites at Ipswich Hospital and Peterborough City Hospital on an irregular basis. The trainee will gain exposure to specialist techniques including sperm DNA fragmentation testing, surgical sperm retrieval/processing and laboratory quality management systems throughout their training.

These sites are well connected by road and public transport, with parking (chargeable at the satellite locations) and staff facilities available on-site.

A structured and supportive training environment will be provided, ensuring the trainee gains experience across the full scope of Andrology practice.

Local promotion details for post(s): Site visits to observe the diagnostic laboratory may be arranged dependant on notice and department capacity.
