We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate individual to join Royal Papworth Hospital. This role is ideal for those beginning a career in Critical Care Science within one of the region’s largest and most highly regarded cardiothoracic critical care units.

As a trainee, you will develop the technical and scientific skills required to support the assessment and care of critically ill patients. Under supervision, you will gain experience in invasive and non-invasive monitoring, the safe use of specialist equipment, and key diagnostic techniques aligned with the Scientist Training Programme. You will also have the opportunity to work towards competencies in cardiac, lung, and vascular ultrasound (FUSIC), and receive training in ultrasound guided vascular access procedures.

Full support, supervision, and mentorship will be provided throughout your training. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 6pm, consisting of three clinical shifts and one dedicated non clinical education day each week.
