Trainees will be primarily based at King’s College Hospital, Denmark Hill, London, employed by King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Training is centred at King’s, though rotations may include partner sites such as St Thomas’ Hospital, which has strong transport links for easy travel. King’s also offers specialist experience in Cardiology, Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Disorders, providing exposure to comprehensive adult heart care, lung‑disease services and sleep‑apnoea diagnostics.

The Trust is a major teaching centre with a strong research profile and a wide range of tertiary services, as outlined on its public website. Trainees are not expected to work outside normal hours, but surgery is typically 8am-6pm, with occasional overruns during complex procedures.

Trainees will undergo specialist training in multimodality IOM for a range of procedures, including cranial (neuro-oncology and skull base), spine and spinal cord, cranial vascular (aneurysms and AVM), general vascular (AAA and thyroidectomies), peripheral nerve and maxillofacial.
