Urodynamic Science – Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
The Trust has sites at Charing Cross Hospital, St Marys Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital and associated community sites within NW London. There are good public transport links as well as a staff hopper bus service between Trust sites. Trainees are allocated a desk for study and also have access to the Trust’s library facilities. We have a Trust-wide trainee scientist network and hold an annual face to face welcome induction event for all incoming trainees to support on-boarding.
Training is delivered largely at Imperial, including all first year rotations. Some specialist modules will require placement at other Hospital Trusts within the London area.

Urodynamic Science – Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust
The trainee will primarily be based in the Urogynaecology department at St Mary’s Hospital, part of Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT), for most components of the course. However, regular travel to Wythenshawe and Withington Hospitals in South Manchester will be required for male-specific urodynamics and certain gastrointestinal physiology components. Occasionally, the trainee may need to visit hospitals outside of MFT to complete competencies and gain experience in advanced investigations. Public transport links between MFT sites are available, and cycling is also an option.
Local promotion details for post(s): Prospective trainees would be welcome to arrange a site visit to understand more about the profession if they wish.

Urodynamic Science – Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust
A unique opportunity for STP in Urodynamic Science training at a leading London training hospital and a specialist hospital. An STP in Urodynamic Science at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) and University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) will benefit from both the breadth of Urological expertise at UCLH and the more specialist knowledge of neuro-urology at London Spinal Cord Injury Centre (LSCIC), RNOH. There will also be the opportunity to experience rotations in Prosthetics and Orthotics, the Gait Lab and Intra-operative Spinal Cord Monitoring along side curriculum based GI Physiology and Clinical Engineering. The LSCIC has an active research programme, so the trainee will be encouraged to participate in these activities as well as the Multi-disciplinary Team of the LSCIC. UCLH is based in central London, whilst RNOH is on the edge of London but well connected by Tube. There is potential for on-site staff accommodation for the STP at RNOH at subsidised rent compared to normal London rents.
