The East Suffolk & North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) provides Radiotherapy services on its two main hospital sites in Colchester and Ipswich. Our departments are equipped with Varian linear accelerators routinely delivering VMAT, SABR and on-line adaptive treatments, brachytherapy, superficial treatment units and dedicated CT scanners.

Training is split primarily between the two hospitals, and a good railway link exists between the two centres. ESNEFT is part of the East of England Training Consortium for Medical Physics which provides a network of STP trainees in the region. Some rotational modules will be carried out at other Trusts within the consortium, giving our trainee’s a broader experience.

We are modern and forward-thinking departments and endeavour to provide a supportive learning environment. East Anglia is a beautiful part of the country with lovely coastline and cities and good access to London.
