The Ultrasonic Angiology department is based in a busy teaching hospital in central London with two main sites (Guy’s Hospital, London Bridge and St Thomas’ Hospital, Westminster).

The department supports four satellite clinics in South East London. The department consists of a clinical lead, senior clinical scientists, clinical scientists, STP/HSST trainees, a technician and administrative staff.

There are four scanning rooms per site with modern duplex vascular ultrasound systems and a scanning room at each of the satellite clinics with a duplex vascular ultrasound system or portable vascular ultrasound system.

You will mainly work at the two main sites but may support one or more of the satellite clinics. The main sites have good public transport links and there is a train/bus service between satellite clinics. The first year will involve rotations in the Cardiac and Respiratory and Sleep departments.

The department has links with Vascular Surgery and Renal Medicine and opportunities for research.
