The Isle of Wight offers a wide range of respiratory and sleep investigations including spirometry, gas transfer, body plethysmography, arterial blood gases, polysomnography, CPAP and non-invasive ventilation treatment and cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET). The Pulmonary function team also work closely with the Respiratory Consultant, Specialist Nurses and Rehabilitation team offering a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and attend a monthly MND clinic at the local hospice offering a one-stop clinic for patients.

The post requires the applicant to have an in-depth interest in scientific practice and its application to direct clinical care of patients in the clinical environment. You will develop the skills to work autonomously and demonstrate the ability to guide and leads others. The post requires the trainee to travel to the national academic site and other courses throughout your training.
