Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics – NHS Blood and Transplant (Collindale)

You will be based in the H&I laboratory in NHS Blood and Transplant’s Colindale centre.

You will work and train with a team of Consultant and Clinical Scientists, Biomedical Scientists and Support staff. Outside of your immediate team, there is an NHSBT network of Clinical Scientist trainees in H&I and you will have access to their support.

Year 1 rotations in Clinical Immunology, Haematology and Genetics, Genomics and Molecular Science will take place outside of the NHS Blood and Transplant. You will be hosted in a local or regional hospital, or Genomics Hub. These rotations may be in person, virtual or a hybrid format.

Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics – NHS Blood and Transplant (Tooting)

You will be based in the H&I laboratory in NHS Blood and Transplant’s Tooting centre.

The laboratory performs testing for renal and stem cell transplantation and immunogenetic testing for susceptibility genes to aid disease diagnosis and drug hypersensitivity. You’ll join our friendly team and play an important role performing, analysing and interpreting a wide range of specialist scientific and technical procedures and investigations that impact directly on patient care.

In addition, there is an NHSBT network of Clinical Science trainees in H&I and you will have access to their support.
