Clinical Biochemistry – Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust

  • 1 post
  • South West

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the only acute hospital in Cornwall and the Clinical Chemistry Dept. services the whole county. We offer a mix of routine and specialist work but are also part of a regional network of laboratories. We are a small friendly team of 5 clinical scientists ranging in age from 20’s upwards. Our STP trainees become part of the Clinical Scientist team from the outset and senior staff are always on hand. Our aim is to make the training interesting and relevant, and the trainee will be exposed to a wide range of clinical and scientific activities.

Cornwall is a beautiful county which offers an exceptional quality of life; sailing, surfing and walking, as well as an eclectic mixture of restaurants, cafes and bars. Although remoteness is part of Cornwall’s attraction, there are good road, rail and airport links with the rest of the UK.

Local promotion details for post(s): We encourage any applicants to get in touch if they would like a laboratory tour or an informal chat with the STP lead or any of the Clinical Scientist team.
