Imaging with non-Ionising Radiation – University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust
The MRI and Ultrasound Physics team provides specialised physics support in MRI and Ultrasound to multiple Trusts within Bristol and around the region. We support specialist paediatric, cardiology, oncology and neurology services as well as general radiology and screening programmes. On top of our routine safety and quality assurance work, we have a culture of active research, development and quality improvement, with previous projects on quantitative MRI QA, more efficient MRI breast screening, and supporting the use of MRI in new treatment pathways. We work closely with our clinical colleagues such as radiographers and radiologists, as well as collaborating with scientist colleagues in other specialisms of medical physics and clinical engineering.
The trainee will be based centre of Bristol at the Bristol Royal Infirmary site with regular visits to Southmead Hospital in north Bristol. There will be a small amount of travel to sites around the South-West for rotational training and occasional day-trips during specialism.
