The trainee will be based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary. They will be expected to periodically travel between sites in Leicestershire, there are regular buses between city sites and travel to community sites can be minimised if required.

We are a friendly and dynamic team who have a good history of supporting trainees to completion of various different training programmes. We look forward to welcoming an enthusiastic new trainee to our team. Leicester is a fantastic place to work and live. Local highlights include the National Space Centre, Cultural Quarter, fantastic outdoor spaces like Bradgate Park or historic sites of interest such as King Richard III Visitor Centre.

Radiotherapy Physics – University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust

We’re looking for an STP trainee in Radiotherapy Physics to join us at Leicester Royal Infirmary. We are a forward-thinking department with Varian equipment – 4 Truebeam Linacs and a Halcyon linac, together with a new Bravos Brachytherapy afterloader and a superficial X-ray set. We operate on the latest ARIA Oncology management system using Varian Eclipse treatment planning systems, 2 wide bore CT scanners with 4DCT (Canon and GE), MVision AI, Proknow and are ISO9001:2015 certified using IQM/QPulse quality management software. We can cover all the elements of the Radiotherapy STP training scheme, and are looking for a highly motivated, self-managing trainee who can become part of our team.

There will be some evening work required, and travel to the other hospitals in Leicester may be needed to make the most of all training opportunities.
