Ryan George (Infection Sciences Trainee) and Rachel Howard (Reproductive Science Trainee) gave us a brief overview of time at a recent graduate fair.

“On 2 November we manned the School stand at Manchester Metropolitan University Graduate Job & Placement Fair. There was a lot of interest from students who wanted to find out more about the Scientist Training Programme, the recruitment process and career options following successful completion of the programme. It was clear that the ever expanding list of specialisms is appealing to a greater range of students, many of whom show great enthusiasm and drive.

It was inspiring to see how motivated and excited the students were about the prospect of a career in healthcare science. We felt very privileged to be standing there as a trainees on such a competitive programme representing the National School of Healthcare Science.

We enjoyed the experience and interacting with the students. It was also great that as STP trainees we had an opportunity to meet and work together.”
