Latest update on funding of STP trainees starting the programme in 2020

We are pleased to confirm that for the 2020/21 financial year, it has been agreed by HEE, that all STP trainees will be funded at contemporary AfC rates, i.e. 2020/21 agreed rates.
This includes all trainees commencing the programme in September 2020 and for all existing trainees, in years 1, 2 and 3, this will be effective from 01 April 2020.
We are undertaking a full review of education funding for HCS programmes, which will inform future funding offers and HEE will be engaging widely on this piece of work.
Requests for STP and HSST trainee posts can be made via the online HCS 2020/21 Demand Scoping Portal . Please note, the online portal will close on Friday 25th October 2019.
