About the Higher Specialist Scientist Training programme
This section includes information about the HSST Programme
The Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) is a five-year workplace-based training programme supported by a Doctoral level academic award.
Here you will find the specialties for the Higher Specialist Scientist Training (HSST) programme.
Posts are available in accredited training departments either as new posts created specifically for the purpose of training (direct entry) or as in-service posts, through already existing clinical scientist posts.
There are two entry routes to the HSST, either as a Clinical Scientist or as a Biomedical Scientist.
This section aims to clarify the agreements made, the opportunities available and the pathway for those applying to undertake the HSST programme.
In this section you will find some useful resources relating to applying to the programme.
