The NSHCS training standards and their associated support resources will help trainers to know how to work from best practice from the start.

Taking on the trainer role is a significant responsibility and commitment. To support you and your departmental colleagues to navigate these responsibilities we have developed this set of training standards which clearly articulate what is expected of you.

There are 5 training standards and for each one there is a suite of training materials available on the NHS Learning Hub which we encourage you to access.  Additionally, if you are interested, there are introductory packages available on learning theory and how it links to practice.

To access the NHS Learning Hub you will need to have an account with the service. See below for details of how to sign up for the NHS Learning Hub.
