Role description

To chair a selected panel of experts either virtually or face to face, to follow a prescribed agenda and explore with colleagues within a higher education institution a range of questions to ensure accreditation can be granted in the case of new applications or be permitted to continue.

Min criteria/ experience

A senior academic in the speciality concerned with a scientific background, with a thorough knowledge of the programme under consideration and experience of chairing panels.

Typical time commitment per event or per year

Normally, no more than one day of reading time ahead of the visit/virtual meeting, with meetings being scheduled for one working day.

Compensation for time

In accordance with HEE’s published scale of fees for non-HEE participants (you will be notified of the current scale of fees in advance of committing to participate). Travel and accommodation costs within HEE parameters will be paid.
