Under NHS England the National School of Healthcare Science (NSHCS) can no longer offer the option to arrange sponsorship for incoming trainees. As trainees are assigned to a single organisation for the duration of the training programme it is right that sponsorship arrangements are made by the employer. This is in line with other training programmes where Trusts/providers directly sponsor. This responsibility will include the costs of sponsorship.
The NSHCS national recruitment process supports equal opportunities for international applicants. All organisations intending to host a trainee should familiarise themselves with local sponsorship processes in advance of being allocated a trainee.
