How do we assess a full attempt resit?

For a full attempt resit, the trainee will have submitted a full critical reflective narrative and all sections need to be assessed. The panel will base their questions on the submitted narrative and cited evidence. They may ask questions where more clarification or detail is required. The panel may also allocate more time to discuss sections previously failed.

A full attempt resit include 2 case-based discussion (CBDs) scenarios.

How do we assess a light touch resit?

For a light touch resit, the trainee will have submitted a critical reflective narrative and would have indicated which sections they have amended. The panel will only assess the 1 or 2 domains/readiness to practice criteria previously failed. The panel will have reference to previous submissions and feedback.

Light touch resits do not include case-based discussion (CBDs) scenarios.
