What are you allowed to bring to the IAPS for face to face events?

You should bring as little to the venue as possible as there may not be a secure place available to store your personal items.

You may not take any electronic devices into the examination room with you. If you require to take any medical items e.g. inhalers, insulin drivers etc into the examination with you, please inform the School prior to attending for your IAPS. Administrators will be made aware.

1. PD Element 1 – review of a specialist /service-based paper

You will not be allowed to take anything with you for this element. Note paper and pens will be provided for you; you may take your notes with you to your professional discussion. These will not be assessed and must be left in the examination room after your professional discussion.

2. PD Element 2 – meeting the Higher Specialist Scientist Standards of Proficiency

You will not be allowed to take anything with you into the examination room for this professional discussion. Please familiarise yourself with the evidence you have submitted in your showcase prior to the IAPS, as you will not have a copy of the showcase during the assessment.
